Random Date Generator

Draw a random calendar date between a start and end you choose, weekday shown alongside it.

Random date

How it works

Pick a start date and an end date, then generate. The tool counts every day in that window — both ends included — and lands on one of them at random, so any day between your two dates is fair game.

It shows the day of the week too, which matters more than you'd think. Testing a scheduler, planning a surprise, seeding sample data, or picking a random birthday? Knowing it fell on a Tuesday saves a second lookup.

If the end date comes before the start date, the result just shows a dash rather than guessing — swap them and you're back in business. The pick uses your browser's random generator for an even spread across the range.

Frequently asked questions

Are the start and end dates included?

Yes. Both the first and last day of your range can be picked, along with everything in between.

Why do I see a dash instead of a date?

That happens when the end date is earlier than the start, or a date field is empty. Fix the range and a date appears right away.

Does it tell me the weekday?

It does — every result is labeled with its day of the week, so you know at a glance whether it landed on a weekend.
