Is the due date a guarantee?
No. Only about one baby in twenty arrives on the exact due date. Most come within two weeks either side, so treat the countdown as a target, not a deadline.
What if my due date changes?
Update the date and the countdown recalculates instantly. Dating scans and later checkups sometimes nudge the due date by a few days.
How far along does full term mean?
Full term is 39 to 40 weeks, though anything from 37 weeks on is considered term. The countdown is based on the classic 40-week mark.
