Crypto Average Price Calculator
Work out your weighted average entry price across several crypto buys, plus total coins held and total spent.
For general estimates only — not financial advice. You enter your own prices; nothing here pulls live market data.
How it works
When you buy the same coin at different prices, your true cost isn't the average of those prices — it's weighted by how much you bought each time. This tool does that weighting for you across every buy you enter.
For each row, put in the number of coins and the price you paid. The calculator multiplies them to get what you spent on that buy, sums the spending and the coins across all rows, then divides one by the other.
The result is your average cost per coin: 0.5 coins at $20,000 plus 0.5 coins at $30,000 gives one coin for $25,000, so a $25,000 average. Add more rows as your position grows and the average updates on the spot.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a simple average of the prices?
No, and that's the point. It's a weighted average based on how many coins you bought at each price, so a large buy pulls your average toward its price more than a small one does.
How many buys can I add?
You can enter up to eight buys. Leave any rows you don't need blank — only rows with a positive amount and a price are counted toward the totals.
Does it include trading fees?
This one focuses purely on price and quantity. If you want to fold fees into your break-even, use the break-even price calculator alongside it.
