Frequently asked questions
Do these use the official formulas?
Yes. Each tool follows the standard math the sport actually uses — the passer rating four-component formula, the handicap differential method, ERA over nine innings, and so on.
Can I use these for a fantasy or rec league?
Absolutely. They work the same whether the numbers come from a pro box score, a Sunday softball game, or your fantasy roster. It's just the stats that change.
Why do baseball innings use decimals like 6.2?
In baseball, .1 and .2 mean one and two outs, not tenths. So 6.2 innings is six-and-two-thirds. The ERA calculator handles that notation for you.
