How it works

The core of it is simple division: correct answers over total questions, turned into a percentage. Get 43 out of 50 and you're sitting at 86% — a solid B before anything else touches it.

The curve field adds a flat number of points on top. If a test ran hard and the teacher bumps everyone by 5, that 86 becomes a 91 and crosses into A territory. Leave the curve at zero and you just see the raw result.

Both numbers stay on screen — the raw score and the curved one — so you can tell exactly how much the adjustment moved you, and which letter grade you land in either way.

Frequently asked questions

How is the percentage worked out?

Correct answers are divided by the total number of questions, then multiplied by 100. Twenty right out of twenty-five is 0.8, which is an 80%.

What does the curve do exactly?

It adds the points you enter straight onto your percentage. A +7 curve turns a 78 into an 85. Enter a negative number if a scale ever needs to pull scores down instead.

Which letter grades line up with which scores?

The standard cutoffs apply here: 90+ is an A, 80s a B, 70s a C, 60s a D, and below that an F. The letter shown reflects your curved score when a curve is set.
